Had a full length mirror in the bedroom which was a huge help for me, small as I am. The breakfast was a delicious way to start the day, with a good selection that was more than I expected.
It wasn’t the most economical option out there but still acceptable.

Charming exterior thanks to the 1700s architecture, giving it a historical feel. The room had lovely sash windows that added character, and there’s a convenient 24-hour Morrison's Daily right across the square for quick snacks or essentials.
While the historic charm is nice, the building's age means no double glazing, making it noisy with early morning deliveries from the shop. The cold room had no thermostat to control heating, and despite a small electric heater, it barely made a difference. The bed's lumpy comfort was a drawback, and the lack of a plug in the bathroom sink and wardrobe made for an inconvenient stay. Hanging clothes became a challenge due to the high placement of the rail. Bright shop lights and market square activity added to a less than peaceful sleep environment.

The lounge areas were cozy, perfect for unwinding after a busy day, and the decor was charming. Just a heads-up, those with mobility issues might find the stairs a bit tricky, but overall, I’d highly recommend it! 😊

Cozy and Perfect for a Wedding Stay
We had such a fun time here for a wedding. The owners let us check in early, which was super helpful since we drove 3.5 hours. Our family room was spacious and clean. The coffee and tea options were handy. Breakfast was yum, with plenty of choices, though parking could be a bit tricky outside.

Exceptional Food and Warm Hospitality
I had a delightful stay, with the highlight being the incredible food served throughout my visit. every meal was expertly prepared and bursting with flavor. The cozy room had a charming decor and came with generous amenities, including complimentary snacks and beverages. The staff were consistently attentive and accommodating, making me feel right at home. My only issue was the slight noise from the pub below during the late evening hours, but it didn't hinder my overall experience.

The room had unique historical photos that added character. The hospitality tray was well stocked with a variety of options. I particularly enjoyed the fun atmosphere in the pub during the evenings.
Some amenities felt a bit basic for a modern hotel.

Absolutely loved the Manchego ratatouille at dinner, it was bangin'! The room was large with a fab window for people-watching. The nearby Indian, chip shop, and bakery are a treasure trove for munchies.
Everything was lovely, but I found the mattress a tad firm for my liking. Dependent on taste, that might be a win for someone else!
